Day 01 – Intro to VFX

  • – How the Rotoscope changed animation forever
  • – What is rotoscoping?
  • – Plate preparation samples and ideas.
  • – Demo

  • – Rotoscoping is an animation technique that animators use to trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame, to produce realistic action.
PLATE PREPARATION
  • – Digitally preparing the plate for the Compositing Department to layer in CG, digital matte painting, graphics or other photographed elements, sometimes using green screen, or effects photography.

Day 02 – INTRO TO Greenscreen | Bluescreen composite

  • – Hollywood’s History of Faking It The Evolution of Greenscreen Compositing.
  • – Demos
COMPOSITING
  • – Compositing is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene. Live-action shooting for compositing is variously called “chroma key”, “blue screen”, “green screen” and other names.
