“Ibalik Ang Kahapong Aliw” – A Day Filled with Fun and Excitement

A Day of Outdoor Fun

April 29,2017 – Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – Syntactics Inc., an outsourcing IT company, held an exciting outdoor activity for its employees  their families, Family Day/Sports Fest event. This is a tradition which the company does every other year, alternating it with the company summer camp.

It is Syntactics’ way of making everyone in the company feel that it’s important to maintain life balance – that while their daily routine requires them to exert their best efforts to finish their tasks, this should not hinder them from strengthening family/group values and camaraderie.

This year’s Family Day/Sports Fest was held at the lovely premises of Stargate Dream Vacation Resort located at Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City.

To make the activity really fun and exciting, everyone was encouraged to come in an outfit that would best describe how they used to look in their  childhood years.

Reminiscing Filipino Games

To complement its theme, the different color teams (Blue, Red and Yellow) played some filipino childhood games from yesteryears like Limbo Rock, Takyan, Sambunot, Chinese Garter, Bato Lata, Luksong Tinik, Patintero plus two modern games, Syntactics Family Can Do That, and Team Feud. These were some of the activities that they competed for.

In addition, Mr. & Ms. Kalye competition was also included to showcase the unique talent of each candidate and to find out who among them was most childlike at heart.

Mr. and Ms Kalye awards were given to the following:

For the minor awards:

Ms. Photogenic – Cherry Phine Salaguste (Yellow team)
Mr. Photogenic – Carl Bryan Pontillas (blue team)

Best in Production (Male) – Carl Bryan Pontillas (Blue team)
Best in Production (Female) – Jane Kenneth Lumacang (Blue team)

Best in Attire (Male) – John Michael Cloyd Rosalin (Red team)
Best in Attire (Female) – Jane Kenneth Lumacang (Blue team)

For the major awards:

Male:

2nd Runner Up – Stephen Luck Enguio (Yellow team)

1st Runner Up – John Michael Cloyd Rosalin (Red team)

Mr. Kalye 2017 – Mr. Carl Bryan Pontillas (Blue team)

Female:

2nd Runner Up – Cherry Phine S. Salaguste (Yellow team)

1st Runner Up – Cindy Sareno (Red team)

Everyone was happy and satisfied with the results. To officially close the activity, Ms. Pamila Salon, Sales Lead, gave her message of gratitude and appreciation for everyone’s active participation during the day.
