JOB APPLICANT PRIVACY NOTICE

As part of its continuing recruitment process, Syntactics Inc., (“Syntactics”, “We” or “Us”) collects and process personal data of job applicants. As a data privacy compliant company, we are transparent in how we collect, process and securely store applicant data.

Information we collect

In each recruitment activity we collect Bio-data, resume, curriculum vitae, transcript of records and application letters. The data collected in these documents are the following:

• Personal information – Individual’s name, age, address, gender, race, date of birth and education.
• Professional details – Information regarding applicant’s qualifications, skill, career history and highlights
• Education detail – Information on applicant’s educational attainment, seminars and trainings attended
• Personal references – Information on people who can vouch for applicant.

We may also contact people listed in your application as reference to inquire about you in your professional capacity, educational achievements or information that will help us verify the information you provided to us.

Data will be stored by Syntactics during the conduct of the recruitment process. All documents provided to us will be deleted once the activity will be completed.

Personal Data Processing

Syntactics process personal data in the conduct of its recruitment activities as we would like to evaluate all applicants in terms of educational attainment, personal and professional background.

Our legitimate interest in collecting personal information from is that we may need information we collected from you should we engage in a contract with you in the form of employee – employer agreement.

In case that you would like to recover the information we collected from you, we will turn over all the documents you submitted to us, only upon the completion of the recruitment process.

Access to your data

The data you submit to us will always be kept confidential. All staff in our Human Resource Department will have access to your data as they are the primary department responsible of our recruitment process. The manager of the division to which you are applying for also will have access to your data.

Data Storage and Retention

We have procedure in place to ensure that your data is secure and safe. It is accessed only by personnel in performance of their duties. In case your application is unsuccessful, we will keep your data for six months after which it will be disposed of.

Disposal of Data

The disposal of your data will be through shredding of hard copies and deletion of digital file stored in our servers.

Your rights

As a data subject you have the following rights.

Access to your data and obtain a copy.

Right to correct the information contained of data submitted.

Right to erase data or withdraw consent on the use of submitted data.

Non-submission of personal data

Please be informed that in the event that no personal data is submitted to us or was submitted then withdrawn, we will not be able to process your application.
