High Quality Content: The Best Way to Improve Search Engine Rankings

One of Google’s standards in looking for a good website is the quality of backlinks that it has. The number of quality inlinks also determines your site’s search engine rankings. But just recently, incoming links have fallen out of favor and high quality web content has become favorable to Google. This has a significant effect for outsourcing companies  in the Philippines writing effective content.

Google’s Penguin algorithm update is the main reason why quality content and backlinks are more important over quantity. Its search engine algorithm has changed tremendously and has started to find its way to assess every website’s number of inbound links and downgrade the site with poor quality inward links including those paid-for or sponsored inward links. As a result, many webmasters and SEO optimizers nowadays focus more in the quality of web content as a way of maximizing their website’s SEO campaigns and online ranking.

Google’s Take on Backlinks and Quality Content

In fact, just last month, Google already began advising in webmasters that having high quality content and sites, not links, is the best way to improve search rankings. Why did Google decide to revise its link scheme definition? It’s mainly due to press releases and articles with heavily-optimized anchor text and distributed to other websites. Google even gives a pretty common example of heavily-optimized anchor text:

“There are many wedding rings on the market. If you want to have a wedding, you will have to pick the best ring. You will also need to buy flowers and a wedding dress.”

Google has also despised those “large-scale article marketing or guest posting campaigns with keyword-rich anchor text links”. The spammy nature of this type of campaign can cause websites to rank down. Thus, avoiding this would be a good step to achieving quality content.

What Google is Looking For

The “Content is King” phrase has somewhat become a reality because Google has constantly looked for those websites that have fresh, interesting and quality content materials. Outdated websites as old as two months since its last update with poor quality backlinks will rank down.

Remember, several online users will willingly read and share high quality content and trigger quality inbound links to your website. Indeed, Paid-for or sponsored inlinks is no longer a good practice to rank your website in Search Engine Results Page.

Keep in mind that the best backlinks that a website can have are the ones that are NOT asked for. To ensure do have quality content and backlinks, consider outsourcing web content writing from the Philippines.
